SWIFT Networks Acquires Chromecom, Expanding 4G LTE Operations to Abuja and PH

Internet Service provider, SWIFT Networks has announced the acquisition of 15MHz of spectrum in the 3.5GHz band from Chromecom Ltd, a subsidiary of Monarch Communications Limited.

4G-LTE

This is move will enable the degongestion of existing 4G LTE networks in Lagos, from October, whilst expanding services to Abuja and Port Harcourt. The company has already begun making moves towards more widespread adoption of 4G LTE

"We have ordered equipment for the migration of over 100,000 WiMAX customers to our expanded 4G LTE network to be undertaken from October, 2015. We hereby reconfirm that we would swap out all the current 4G WiMAX modems to the faster and more efficient 4G LTE modems FREE OF CHARGE".

In addition, over 1000 additional 4G LTE base stations are to be deployed in Lagos state befoe the last quarter of 2015. Expansion to Abuja and Port Harcourt, the company promises, will take place within the same time frame.
