Following the inauguration of the new Federal Executive Council by President Muhammadu Buhari, 36 ministers took their oath of office which automatically signalled the constitution of President Muhammadu Buhari’s cabinet. The President after the swearing in the ministers, said that his administration would continue to implement policies that would improve the economy of the nation.

He added that the Federal Government would implement policies that will generate massive employment for youths and ensure food security.

With assurances that the country would experience positive changes, President Muhammadu Buhari asked that all Nigerians “keep hope alive”.

One key highlight during the inauguration ceremony is the announcement of Adebayo Shittu as Minister of Communications and not Minister of Communications Technology. The ministry of Communications Technology, which saw improvements in internet access, universal service provision fund and so on during Omobola Johnson’s tenure is probably about to focus more on Communication and not technology. This might be a typo error and not a valid reason for concerned citizens but the question still remains on the lips of techies.
