Earlier this year, Django Girls Lagos hosted its free workshop where ladies learnt basics of programming and how to build their first website.

With sheer determination to attain their goal of inspiring women to fall in love with programming by making technology more approachable and creating simple tools, Django Girls will be hosting a free workshop in Ota this August.

The workshop will take place on August 6th, 2016 at the Afrihub building, Bells University, Ota with a pre-installation party on August 5th, 2016.

Participants will be taught how to build a website without prior programming experience required. However, everyone is expected to come with their laptops and their ready minds.

The event is organized by Aisha Bello a tech enthusiast and ‘Pythonista’ with support from CcHub, Python Software Foundation, GitHub, django and The Nigerian Python Community.

The deadline for application is July 23rd, 2016. Interested persons can apply early enough to increase their chance of getting into the program. Successful candidates will be contacted latest by July 30th, 2016.

If you attended the workshop in Lagos, do share your experience with us.
