Personal doctor app, Kangpe wins Seedstars Lagos 2016

Following the vetting of over 100 applications, which were narrowed down to 8 startups, Seedstars Lagos finally culminated in a pitch competition, held yesterday August 11, 2016.

The competing startups were DavtonLearn, Tuteria Company, Legal Form Limited, Quick Gas, Piggybank.ng, Kangpe, Grit Systems and Social Lender. Techpoint was live at the event with blow by blow updates on Twitter.

By the end of the day, DavtonLearn was pronounced second runner-up while Tuteria company was first runner-up. Kangpe, a professional healthcare service that looks to "put a doctor in the pocket of every African", emerged winner.

Kangpe will proceed to the Seedstars World finals at Geneva in April, 2017 where they will battle 70+ other startups for the $500,000 cash prize.
