Late last year, 2 Nigerian startups were selected to join the second generation of The S Factory pre-accelerator programme.

This time around, a Nigerian company has been chosen among the top 30 startups in the fourth generation of the pre-accelerator programme. Curacel is a Nigerian startup that provides secure cloud-based web and mobile practice management system, specifically built for the unique needs of private clinics.

The S Factory is a spin-off program of Start-Up Chile. As an initiative of Start-Up Chile, they have access to funding, and business mentors as they happen to be the largest and most diverse startup community in the world. Their sole aim is to build global startups having female leaders and to empower them in order to turn their innovative ideas into scalable businesses. All those selected will receive $15,000 equity free money, training and mentors that will equip them with adequate business skills.

Ijeoma Oguegbu, a female leader in Startups was among those selected in the 2nd generation of The S Factory. With her startup, Beavly which is an online marketplace that connects people to top professionals with the purpose of learning alongside them in their workplace, she finished as one of the top three by the end of the program and qualified for the 16th generation of Startup Chile.

The program will commence 3rd October, 2016 and will run for 12 weeks ending with a Demo Day which requires participants to pitch to the rest of the community at Chile. After the program, startups will have a chance to apply to Start-Up Chile.
