This week, the tech events we have curated are geared towards tackling industry related problems. These tech events seek to bring together industry professionals to network and share knowledge.

What's Next FinTech in partnership with Visa.

Nest in partnership with Visa is hosting a forum on the future of finance and technology. "What's Next" is expected to bring together some of the most brilliant people in payments.

The event will bring together key players in the finance and tech industries, with the panel sharing advancements, adoption, and application of technology in financial services.

Usable January Meetup

This month at Usable Lagos, Funfere Koroye who is a product designer will be speaking at the monthly meetup. Funfere Koroye has worked with a couple of design companies including: Tecno Design Lab, KEEXS (the footwear company) and Thando’s Design Lab.

Funfere will be talking about his learnings as a designer/maker of physical products, frustrations and of course how he designs usable product for humans.

Health Technology Symposium.

Health Technology Symposium is an e-health themed symposium at iDEA Hub by Medifix Nigeria Limited and the Northwestern University. The theme of the e-health symposium is: The pains and gains of e-health in Nigeria - a user centric assessment. ​

Conference Nigeria.

Code Conference Nigeria is a collaboration of the Ministry of Science and Technology, tertiary institutions and stakeholders primary to complement the advancing of the software industry in Nigeria.

The aim of this conference is to bring together leaders in the I.T industry so as to enable empowerment of young programmers in the country. It is also aimed at creating a platform where academic institutions, stake-holders and government can share knowledge about latest trends, developments and the future of Nigerian software in the 21st century.

Ventures Platform Demo Day

Ventures Platform's competitive 16-week intensive hybrid incubation program focuses on training and mentoring startups to scale their businesses. The first cycle of the program selected seven startups from across the continent, each working on an innovative business idea that not only support economic growth but that also seeks to make a social impact in local communities and across the continent.

This acceleration cycle ends on January 27, 2017 when the startups get to present themselves and pitch their businesses before local and international investors and select members of the public who will attend the Ventures Platform Demo Day.

Code Pyramid January, 2017 Meetup.

Code Pyramid is a platform for techies and entrepreneurs is set to host their monthly meetup this January. This month, Code Pyramid will be hosting a hackathon focused on solving critical problems in the health sector.
