The Citi Tech for Integrity challenge (T4I) is a global challenge aimed at proposing intellectual solutions for public sector entities in order to increase transparency and promote integrity.

Citi's T4I challenge involves six stages, the first stage, which is a pre-stage, outlines 73 pain points where technology can promote integrity. The pain points are problem statements that need addressing and they are aimed at guiding applicants, in the area of solutions to proffer. Applicants can also submit their own pain-points.

The second stage is the application process. Tech innovators can apply by submitting a one-page document which explains their proposed solution.

Citi's T4I challenge will invite selected applicants to participate in a global virtual accelerator aimed at adding value to their proposed solutions at the third stage. The Final submissions will include a 2-minute video explaining the solution.

The fourth stage of Citi's T4I challenge will involve selected successful applicants to showcase their prototype at live Demo Days.

Finalist will also be presented at demo days to an audience of Citi and ally stakeholders.

At the last stage, award recipients will be announced and potential opportunities with Citi and allies (include countries, public and private sectors, Clifford Chance, Facebook, IBM`, Let's Talk Payments, Mastercard, Microsoft and PwC) will be explored.

This year's challenge is open to companies of any size that fall within the realm of:

  • Financial transactions,
