Launched by Vivian Paseda on the 1st of April 2016, Xpressteachers is a job posting board solely dedicated to the recruitment of educational personnel.

The platform operates such that educational establishments can place their vacancies for free, allowing educational professionals seeking employment to post their CVs, for free, in hope of securing employment.

Fully registered employers on the platform can browse through the CV database and make direct contact with candidates that match their vacancy criteria. Jobseekers who find a vacancy matching their search criteria can also apply directly to the organisation.

The goal is to streamline the recruitment process, thus reducing the stress, time and cost associated with recruiting quality candidates.

Thoughts

Educational recruitment platforms aren’t exactly common in Nigeria. In fact, Xpressteachers could easily pass as the first. Most job platforms aren't niche focused. The fact that the site is focused on the educational sector alone is commendable. Evidently, this will give room to carefully understudy the market and easily device ways to rise to the needs.

Also, since job posting is free on the site, it allows the site owner to own a database of experienced and qualified educational professionals across Nigeria -- something is a good opportunity for monetization.
