Launched on 3rd of February 2014 by Lanre Folarin, the COO, FIXMYPC is an online service centre specialising in repairs of any kind of electronic device as well as other IT support services.

However, the true aim of FIXMYPC is to revolutionise the warranty services sector in Nigeria and possibly Africa; providing customers more value for their money by creating local easily accessible service centre where they can redeem warranty repair for items they purchase from OEM's.

So in event that customers run into challenges of broken electronic devices or gadget, FIXMYPC simply returns them to working condition by fixing them.

How it works

There are basically four steps to get started on the platform. First, customers visit the platform and fill a form requesting details and the condition of the device. The device is then collected to undergo testing, from which a report and estimate of cost are provided. Upon confirmation of payment, in-house technicians proceed to fix the device. Afterwards, the device is then returned to the preferred location of the customer.

Thought

At a glance, FIXMYPC looks good on paper. But it's hard to imagine that customers would be pretty comfortable parting away with their devices to an untrusted platform. Hence the need for building trust. Supposing they manage to deal with trust issues, they still might have to come up with near-perfect logistics in order to be timely with delivery speed; as this is crucial to setting them apart from the competition.

With 3 years of operational experience down the line, surely FIXMYPC would have learnt a few things about customer satisfaction.
