RentALodge is a platform which allows owners and managers of student hostels to list their properties online. By doing this, they make it easy for students of Nigerian tertiary institutions to access these properties in a fast, affordable and convenient manner.

The platform was launched on 28th of November 2016 by Tosin Adeoti and executive team members comprising  Joshua Rotimi (CTO), Mercy Anih (Operations) and Philip Bashorun (Operations)

RentALodge boasts of having a myriad of accommodation listings across different schools and cities. Students can search for their hostels by school or city to know the many options available. Upon picking their choice, students proceed to make payment before they are finally handed the key to the apartment.

Accommodation remains one of the biggest problems often encountered by students when settling into life at higher institutions of learning. Sometimes these problems occur as a result of the fact that the number of students gaining entry into these higher institutions outweighs the available space provided by the school. Other times they could just be as a result of the poor facilities within the school, which forces the students to seek alternative accommodation -- usually off campus.

Being able to get the right accommodation, with less hassle, comes with a peace of mind that allows student focus on their academic performance. Undoubtedly, RentALodge is solving an important need. We can perhaps keep a close eye on the startup to see if they will remain true to their objective as they test more friendly terrains.
