Local hosting company, Garanntor expands operations as it acquires Bytes hosting

Bytes Hosting, a division of Bytes & Data System has been acquired by Garanntor Hosting, another web hosting company. This acquisition which was announced only a few days ago took effect on the 1st of September, 2017.  However, the financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

By acquiring over 550 active hosting accounts and 700 domain names from Byte Hosting, Garanntor's domain and hosting portfolio stands at over 3000 shared hosting accounts and over 4000 domain names in less than a year of commencing operations. Garanntor Nigeria was named “best local hosting company” at the NiRA 2017. NG awards.

“We needed to find the best home for our clients who have trusted us with their business for years.We shopped around for a couple of months for the best hosting company that had the expertise and could provide better support and services to our clients, Garanntor came out tops with a very wide margin,” said David Nkpoku, founder and CEO of Bytes Hosting.

Bytes Hosting’s customers are now expected to enjoy a wider range of products, more flexible plans and 24/7 support. A specialised team has been tasked to work directly with the customers to ensure a seamless migration.

Garanntor CEO, Olalekan Ajayi, has also assured its newest customers about the companies determination to help their businesses succeed online. With all of the company's infrastructure said to be hosted at a local Tier III data centre in Lagos Nigeria, Ajayi affirms that “Garanntor Nigeria is geared towards local internet growth and contribution to the Nigerian economy”.

He also promises that there will be more acquisitions in the future. “This is just one of many more acquisitions which will put us within the top 3 in a very short period,” he said.
