Commission is a common way to reward salespeople. This type of payment is calculated based on the percentage of goods sold.  Commissions.ng is trying to give a new face to e-commerce in Nigeria.

Commissions.ng is an online platform that helps users to start an online store by providing them with a fully functional e-commerce website that comes preloaded with over 10,000 products which are sold on commission.

Launched on August 31, 2017, by Ehis Asibor (Founder), Alfred Ohiomoba (Co-founder), Solomon Aligba (Business Developer), vendors are given the opportunity to also list products which they can either allow an agent to sell on their behalf or sell it by themselves on the platform.

“To ensure the startup process is really easy for any new customer,  the website we offer comes with all the features anyone going into e-commerce will need. These features include integration with payment gateways, pre-integration with  third party logistic companies, integration with social media, live chat, and customer care feature  manned by commissions.ng personnel,  registration of business name with CAC  including marketing and training materials  that can be given to our agents."

Commissions.ng claims to be the only platform that offers users a complete package to start a full e-commerce business. As this looks like a promising venture, let’s see if this startup can deliver its value proposition in the nearest future.
