Starting last weekend, a series of attacks began in Plateau state when gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen attacked villages in Barkin Ladi Local Governement Area of the state, reportedly leading to a death toll of over 100 men, women and children.

D'banj loses his son

Last Sunday, news of the death of D'banj's 13-month old son, Daniel III spread through social media like wild fire. The popular musician was away at the BET Awards ceremony in the US when his son was reported to have drowned in his Ikoyi home's indoor pool.

From Berger to Ajah

On Wednesday this week, a Nigerian Twitter user (@Omogedami) called another Twitter user (@UcheDandyMUFC) out on account of his "rapey" tendencies. She accused him of trying to rape her friend.

Crisis in Bodija

Yesterday, butchers and Policemen in Bodija market, Ibadan, the Oyo state capital were at loggerheads. The clash eventually resulted in the burning down of the Bodija police station and the death of an innocent trader.

Tanker Explosion in Lagos

While Nigerians were still brooding over the unfortunate events of the week, a petrol tanker and about 53 other vehicles burnt down on the Otedola inward bridge in the Berger area of Lagos yesterday.

According to reports, in an attempt to avoid hitting a commercial bus that parked on the road, the tanker fell, spilling its content, leading to an explosion and the loss of many lives.
