Nigeria's erratic electricity situation has caused many individuals to resort to alternative means of power supply. And, in recent times, awareness about the need renewable energy is settling in and a lot of initiatives have spurred from the government and a few private firms. But the limitation has always been most of these solar initiatives, often suits more, the rural communities. As a result, several entrepreneurs have taken to the expanding the usability of renewable energy, among them is Francis Odim, founder of Afsenergies.

Francis, in the bid to revolutionise the use of renewable power, claims to have suitable plans for both urban and rural dwellers from solar and wind technologies.

We have recently developed a new, innovative and efficient Urban Dwellers (UD) and Rural Dwellers (RD) Solar System and Inverter System box for our clients. With the ever increasing demand for constant and stable power supply in Nigeria, the UD Series and RD Series eliminates the frustration from the shortages of power supply experienced from the National grid. The UD series focuses on providing 24 hours power supply for your house at a very cost effective price, while the RD series focuses on the rural areas.

As said by the founder, their newly designed products offer aesthetics to the core, is ruggedised in operation and have gone through many stages of evolution over time with each new one having a better feature than the previous. "Our driving force on each modification is to arrive at a product that meets all engineering design, a product that customers can trust to be reliable at all times and most especially a product that is simple to operate. We have achieved this feat together with our expert engineers in various renewable energy areas who have received industrial exposure, academic training, and international experiences", he further explains.

To stamp their authenticity in the mind of buyers, Afsenergies offers one year warranty for all their products. Despite the existence of competitors like Lumos MTN, Yingli solar, and Videst solar, Afsenergies aim to provide 24hours electricity to over 5 million African homes and offices. Definitely, a lot of work lies on Odim Francis (CEO), Raymond Abu (CFO), Xavier Ikejemba (CCO), Okolo Ogechukwu (COO) and Simon Eze (BDM) to achieve this set target.

However, from the look of things, it appears the 5-man team is not oblivious to this fact. In fact, to reaffirm their commitment to this goal, Francis said: '' We believe in servicing this limited market better than existing firms and would, therefore, like to quench the quest for a steady, clean, and efficient power supply for your facility at an affordable cost to you". Situated on the Lagos Island, Afsenergies launched on October 22, 2016.
