Opeoluwa and Oluwasola Mesonrale found out that students in Nigeria don’t read to learn but to pass which sometimes lead to their failure in promotional examinations. In a bid to mitigate this problem, they created ALOC, an online practice platform that use engaging games to prepare students for exams.

On January 13, 2017, ALOC launched a mobile app that helps students to quickly access practice questions on the go. The app has a virtual assistant that encourages students with inspirational quotes when they fail or pass any practice question. It also gives funny jokes to lighten learning process thereby creating an interesting learning platform.ALOC

From the experiment, we have carried out on Nigeria student via our platform in 9 schools and 8 JAMB tutorial centres we came to the following deductions. Students welcome and accept our unique angle of approaching CBT but we observe that for 3 weeks we get 70% engagement from students after sign up”.

Although ALOC wouldn't be the first to attempt providing an easier platform that facilitates examination preparation for Nigerian students --   Simbibot and Pass.ng both do same -- the platform hopes to distinguish itself with its game-driven CBT practice since others are strictly academic platforms.

If you are a Nigerian student, you should really try this out. Head to the website to engage.
