Dear Womanpreneur, there's a new female Angel Investor in Town

Linda Ikeji has just announced her very first batch of female-founded start-ups in her "I'd rather be self-made" project. The project was as a result of her own life story and also a way to give back to the community.

The first phase of the application saw over 800 applications and after a rigorous review of applications and business idea proposals through several pitching sessions, 15 ladies were selected receiving grants between N150,000 t0 N1,000,000 and free marketing on the Linda Ikeji blog.

The winners will receive mentoring and have regular meets with Linda herself, and performing founders will receive more funding subsequently.

The second stage of the investment fund will be opened in a few weeks, interested startups can begin working on their business ideas and pitching skills from now. You can read the full story on LIB.
