The platform aims to solve three problems -- the stress of sourcing for auto parts under the scorching sun, the uncertainty of getting genuine ones and the likelihood of buying them at exorbitant prices.

Although Ikokuonline's primary market is Port Harcourt, they also have eyes set on the whole of Nigeria. The team comprises of founders, Emmanuel Ugochukwu and Fortune Bekee -- who are both in charge of IT, product, sales and logistics respectively -- and Valentine Ogechi, who oversees customer care & admin.

Since launch, the startup claims to have matched its reputation by activating over 35+ sales, about $1000 in revenue and a customer base above 40. Also, the startup has partnered with major insurance and logistics companies in Port Harcourt to deliver efficient service.

The founders are quick to acknowledge offline auto parts sellers as competition. They are however banking on simplicity, efficient customer service and possible offering of the best price as a competitive edge.
