Like most freelancing marketplaces, anyone in need of the services of an artisan can visit the platform and make a request. However, the platform leans towards giving artisans the freedom to list their services for free. By further grouping artisans into categories, users can easily locate these artisans.
Also, users are able to search for artisans based on state and local government of choice. It is evident that the idea is to allow users find artisans that are closest to them.
Thoughts
Based on what can be gleaned from the platform, it is obvious Workers.com.ng is trying to provide a service that cover the whole nation. And its plan to extend such service to the grassroots is laudable. Even more commendable is that the startup is attempting all these while stationed in the capital city of Ogun state -- Abeokuta.
As it stands, engagement on the platform is still at a minimal, but let's hope Workers.com.ng can indeed beef activity up in the coming days and give competitors a run for their money.
